COVID-19 RAPID ANTIGEN TEST
Intended use
The Salixium COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test is a colloidal gold immunochromatographic assay designed for the qualitative detection of specific SARS-CoV-2 antigen in human oral/ nasal swab specimen. It is intended to be used for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 virus infection. The Salixium COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test is intended for use for home self-testing.
Sample Collection
Do not eat, smoke, chew or drink any beverages (apart from plain water) for at least 30 minutes before collection. Wash your hands thoroughly for 20 seconds, using soap and warm water, or use hand sanitizer.
Assay Procedure
Testing should be performed immediately after the specimen has been collected. Do not expose the specimen at room temperature for prolonged period. Samples are stable up to 30 mins when kept in the extraction buffer provided with the test kit.
Result Interpretation
Consult a healthcare professional immediately. Additional molecular testing such as PCR test may be required to confirm your result. Your healthcare professional will determine the best way to care for you, based on the test results along with medical history and symptoms.
You should self-isolate to prevent spreading the virus to others.

Please be informed that the recent issued Guidelines for Implementation of Medical Device Regulatory System: Conditional Approval for COVID-19 Rapid Test Kid (Self-Test) made by the Medical Device Authority (MDA), provides, amongst others, the following:
(a) The COVID-19 RTK (self-test) kit … shall only be sold by registered Pharmacies and healthcare institutions registered with Cawangan Kawalan Amalan Perubatan Swasta (CKAPS); and
(b) Online sales are only allowed for registered pharmacies and health institutions …
In view of this and moving forward, we would like to inform you that we will only be able to sell our “Salixium” Covid-19 Rapid Antigen Test (“Product”) to bodies or corporations registered with CKAPS.
We would also like to prompt our customers that all open advertising activities in connection with the Product, whether online or offline, are strictly not allowed. This shall include, but does not limit to, self-made brochures, posters, online e-commerce platforms and social media platforms (including website, Facebook and Instagram). As such, we would appreciate that our customers dealing with the Product ensure that its marketing and sales activities adhere to the statutes, guidelines and/or regulatory requirements issued by the MDA, Ministry of Health and/or any other governing or regulatory body(ies) at all times.
For Negative Test: If you experience any of these symptoms, please contact your doctor immediately. To confirm your results, additional molecular testing, such as a PCR test, may be required. Based on the test results, along with your medical history and symptoms, your healthcare professional will determine the best way to care for you. You must continue to maintain social distance, wash your hands frequently, and wear a mask.
