Selagor, 11 Jun 2025 – As part of our ongoing commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, Reszon Diagnostics proudly organized the Essential Fire Fighting Training on 25 June 2025 at USJ Headquarters. This initiative is aligned with our mission to build a resilient and safety-conscious workplace while fostering a proactive safety culture among employees.
A total of 23 staff members participated in the in-house training session, which was conducted in collaboration with ASEC (Advanced Safety & Emergency Care). The course focused on enhancing internal emergency response capabilities, particularly among our Emergency Response Team (ERT), Safety Committee and key operational personnel.
Empowering Staff with Life-Saving Skills
The training was designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and practical experience needed to effectively prevent, manage, and respond to fire-related emergencies. Core objectives included:
- Understanding the chemistry and development of fire
- Identifying different classes of fire and selecting the right extinguishing methods
- Operating fire safety equipment such as portable fire extinguishers, fire blankets and hose reels
- Responding to fire-related incidents with confidence, teamwork, and clear strategy
- Recognizing workplace fire prevention and protection systems within workplace
A Hands-On Approach to Safety
Participants engaged in an intensive mix of theory and practical sessions, including:
- Fire dynamics, fire triangle principles, fire chain reaction
- Common causes of fire in workplace environments
- Hands-on fire extinguishing exercises with live demonstrations
- Practical victim handling and transportation
- Practical techniques of immobilization of victim
- Strategy planning for managing on-site fire incidents
- Overview of passive and active fire protection systems
These practical sessions allowed employees to apply their learning in realistic scenarios, strengthening their decision-making, communication, and collaboration during emergencies.
