Selangor, 25 Jun 2025 – Reszon Diagnostics International Sdn. Bhd. (Reszon) had the privilege of participating in a significant health initiative hosted by Klinik Universiti Malaya (UM Clinic) on 25 Jun 2025. Reszon was invited to exhibit two key HIV rapid test kits: the SURE CHECK® HIV Self-Test and the HIV 1/2 STAT-PAK® Assay, both developed by our trusted partner, Chembio Diagnostics. These products play a vital role in supporting Malaysia’s HIV awareness and early detection efforts, particularly among youth.
Held at the Auditorium Pusat Perkhidmatan Penyelidikan (IPPP), the Launching Ceremony of Program Anak Muda IPT (KAMI) and Sexual Health Seminar (Seminar Kesihatan Klinik Universiti Malaya) drew an audience of 200 participants, including students, academic staff, and healthcare professionals.
Addressing a Growing Concern Among University’s Students
Recent health data has shown a concerning rise in HIV infections among young adults and university students in Malaysia. This upward trend has prompted growing concern among public health experts, underlining the urgent need for education, stigma reduction, and improved access to testing.
The seminar and program launch focused on equipping university’s youth (UMians) with accurate information about sexual health, preventive measures, and the importance of regular testing for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), especially HIV/AIDS.
